July 14th - Grand Isle Food Shelf - $1,343.00
Club member John Abry presented the checks to the food shelves. Marcia Devino president of the Colchester Community Food Shelf stated that “We are extremely thankful for the continued support of the Colchester-Milton Rotary and this donation will supply a whole month worth of food supplies for the food shelf.” Vikki Patterson executive director of the Milton Family Community Center said “On behalf of everyone at MFCC, I would like to express our sincerest gratitude to the Colchester-Milton Rotary Club for their successful virtual Fill-A-Truck food drive that resulted in such a generous donation to our MFCC Food Shelf in Milton. It is people and organizations such as yours that continue to remind me of how great it is to live in this community” And Judy Ayers who runs the Grand Isle Food Shelf had this to say “We are very appreciative of the continued support of the Colchester-Milton Rotary club and this donation will help supply up to three months of food.”
This is the 3rd year the Colchester-Milton Rotary Club has held the “Fill The Truck” event collecting food and cash donations for the Colchester, Milton and Grand Isle food shelves. Due to the Covid 19 pandemic this year’s event was ‘virtual’ with all donations submitted online and by far the most collected totaling over $9,2,00.00
The Colchester-Milton Rotary Club would like to publicly thank all who donated. Club member John Abry stated “We are truly amazed by the outpouring of support from our community during these challenging times and impressed with the level of generosity of those who donated.”
