St. Albans, VT — The Rotary Club of St. Albans is pleased to announce the availability of the Alonzo Malouin Memorial Scholarship for Teachers’ Education for the 2026–2027 academic year, offered through Rotary District 7850. This scholarship is designed to support educators who are pursuing advanced education beyond a post-secondary degree.

Scholarships of up to $5,000 will be awarded to qualified applicants who demonstrate excellence in education and a commitment to professional growth. The program aims to recognize and encourage outstanding educators, support their continued advancement, and promote the exchange of ideas that strengthen education in alignment with Rotary International’s six areas of focus.

“Rotary has long believed that education is a powerful pathway to peace, understanding, and stronger communities,” said Leon Berthiaume, President of the Rotary Club of St. Albans. “This scholarship continues that legacy by investing directly in teachers who are committed to lifelong learning and educational excellence.”
Scholarship funds may be used to offset a variety of education-related expenses, including but not limited to tuition, textbooks, educational supplies, computers, transportation, and institutional room and board.
