RI Leadership consists of the RI President and the RI Board of Directors. Additionally there is the Board of Trustees.
The Rotary International President for the 2025-2026 term is Francesco Arezzo from Italy, an orthodontist who assumed the role on July 1, 2025, following a selection by the Board of Directors after the resignation of the President-elect. Olayinka Hakeem Babalola of Nigeria was announced as the President-Elect by the Board of Directors. His term begins July 1, 2026.
Rotary International has two main governing bodies: the Board of Directors, which sets policy for the organization, and the Board of Trustees, which manages The Rotary Foundation (the charity arm); the RI Board elects Foundation Trustees to four-year terms, with recent elections naming members like Francesco Arezzo, Cynthia Covington, Francis Tusubira, and Ananthanarayanan Venkatesh for the 2026-2030 cycle, complementing current leaders like President Francesco Arezzo and President-elect Sangkoo Yun.
