Drummondville-Malouin - A Love Story for the Young
For the members of Drummondville-Malouin Rotary Club, during the 2020-22 period a specific project has been close to their hearts: the development of the new outdoor courtyard of St. Joseph's School. This school is located in a very disadvantaged environment, with many people from immigrant backgrounds, with few resources and means. The idea was to create a supportive environment where students and the community can come together 24/7 and have access to sports like basketball with modern and adequate equipment.

Pour les membres, pendant la période 2020-22 un projet spécifique leur tenait à cœur : l’aménagement de la nouvelle cour extérieure de l’école St-Joseph. Une école située en milieu très défavorisée, avec beaucoup de personnes issues de l’immigration, avec peu de ressources et de moyens. L’idée était de créer un environnement favorable où les étudiants et la communauté peuvent s’y réunir 24/7 et avoir accès à des sports comme le basquet avec des équipement modernes et adéquats.

At first glance you may think this photo shows the devastation of the horrific tornadoes that struck the heartland of the USA in December but instead, this is of Super Typhoon Rai which swept over the Philippines about the same time. Images from these storms are hauntingly similar.
